Installation
This cd changer is the 6 disc german model and is not sold in dealerships in North America. PGPerformance was able to get some of these from Germany and did a group buy for us. Below is a picture of my car before I started the work. Note: It was getting dark, so some of the pictures look tinted a little bit.
My car doesn't have steering wheel controls (wolfsburg edition) -- but directions on making this work with the steering wheel controls can be found here.
Below are some pictures of the kit, and it's contents.

The kit comes with the changer, the radio removal tools, an adapter wire, and the shelf that'll hold the changer up.

I started inside the car by inserting the radio removal tools (included with the kit) and removing the stock radio.

Once the radio has been removed, the shelf that was above it has to be removed. I wasn't sure how it was held in, but after looking with a flashlight it didn't look like much. I just yanked on it.

I plugged in the adapter wire, which has an extra one that will go to the changer.

I installed the new tray, and it just snapped right in. I put the new changer into it's slot, and plugged in the two wires. The changer snaps into place. This picture is blurry, not sure what happend.

After that, it's just hooking up the new wires, and snapping the stock head unit back into place. It took 2 tries before the head unit would snap in, but it wasn't too hard.

Here's a shot of the changer with the lights on, so you can see how it lights up.
