Euro Styles East - Color Matched Sidemarker Install

Euro Styles East sells a set of color-matched sidemarkers for all of the MKV chassis cars. The numbers are sanded off OEM sidemarkers, and then they're sprayed with OEM paint. The install is very simple.

First, a shot of the stock sidemarker, for comparison:

A closer shot of the orange marker:

Take your thumb and push in on the front of the lens. You have to push pretty hard. Once the back side pops outward, you can grab it and pull it out. Not too far!

Now the lens is out -- you can see the wiring for the light bulb. You have to pull back on the black rubber cover to remove the bulb. I did not need to twist it.

You can see the opening and the bulb here. Take something and clean whatever gunk is in there out. My car is only 250 miles old and there's dirt in there.

Here is a comparison between the old piece and the new one. The sun was REALLY bright so the colors look a little skewed.

Re-install the bulb plug. It should snap into the socket. Put the front end of the lens in, and push the back into place. You might have to squeeze the tab in the back to get it in. Once it's in, it'll snap in place.

That's it! Now do the other side! Here are a few daylight 'after' pictures:

The color match is about 95% right on my car. Under certain light you might see the difference or if you know to look for it -- but it's subtle.
